Copper, steel, stainless steel, aluminum - these metals and their mixed compounds can be connected to each other on a molecular level, permanently, with no contact resistance and without loss of quality. This is done by exothermically welding the metals in suitable graphite molds together with a granulate of copper oxide and aluminum.

powerweld-welded connections are tested according to DIN EN 61400-24 and meet the requirements of lightning protection class 1 with no issues whatsoever.

This type of welding is possible in cross-sections of any size. The only condition is that the composition and quantity of the welding granulate and the size of the welding crucible have to be individually adjusted. Depending on the type of graphite, this method can produce approx. 80 connections with one welding mold.
